Plan and Realization of Logistics center, warehouse for spare parts and finishing goods

Weichai Power Co., located in Weifang, plans the modernization of the logistics. Core of this task is a new central warehouse for production supply, spare part distribution and finishing goods. The task for Fablog was to perform the equipment planning for the already existing warehouses.

The warehouse contains 20.000 m2 space and shall be able to store 2.000 different part types to supply a daily production of 2.000 engines. The task contains the warehouse planning as well as the process definition from inbound to production supply both technically and organizational.

In this warehouse the Fablog software LOGIS will be used and Weichai Power Co. and Fablog will cooperate to create a blueprint. On basis of the blueprint Fablog will customize the LOGIS software according to the demands of Weichai Power Co. After customizing and successfully completed in-house tests the system will be put into operation. It will communicate with the superior ERP-system of Weichai Power Co. as HOST and also contain a forklift management system. Within the warehouse radio frequency equipment will be used to trace all good movement.
